【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheethanolcontentofdenaturedfuelethanolbygaschromatography.Ethanolisdeterminedfrom93to97mass%andmethanolisdeterminedfrom0.1to0.6mass%.Equationsusedtoconverttheseindividualalcoholsfrommass%tovolume%areprovided.Thistestmethoddoesidentifyandquantifymethanolbutdoesnotpurporttoidentifyallindividualcomponentsthatmakeupthedenaturant.WatercannotbedeterminedbythistestmethodandshallbemeasuredbyaproceduresuchasTestMethodD1364andtheresultusedtocorrectthechromatographicvalues.Thistestmethodisinappropriateforimpuritiesthatboilattemperatureshigherthan225Corforimpuritiesthatcausepoorornoresponseinaflameionizationdetector,suchaswater.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
