【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversequipmentandtechniquesfordeterminingporosityingoldcoatings,particularlyelectrodepositsandcladmetalsusedonelectricalcontacts.Thistestmethodisdesignedtoshowwhethertheporositylevelislessorgreaterthansomevaluewhichbyexperienceisconsideredbytheusertobeacceptablefortheintendedapplication.Thistestmethodissuitableforflatsurfaces,orwithappropriatefixtures,forgentlycurvedsurfaces.AvarietyofotherporositytestingmethodsaredescribedinGuideB765andintheliterature.Detailedcriticalreviewsofporositytestingarealsoavailable.OtherporositytestmethodsareB735,B798,B799andB809.Thistestmethodisspecificallydesignedforusewithgoldcoatings(95%gold)onsubstratesofcopperandnickelandtheiralloys.Althoughnotcoveredinthisstandard,variationsofthistestmethodmaybefoundusefulinevaluatingcoatingsotherthangold.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesinparenthesisareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortoitsuse.Foraspecificprecautionarystatement,seeNote1.
