【摘要】:Theoilabsorptionvalueobtainedbythistestmethodprovidesinformationaboutthevehicledemandofthepigmentwhenitisusedinapigmentpaste.Oilabsorptionvaluescanbeusedtocharacterizebatchesofagivenpigment.ThistestmethoddiffersfromTestMethodD281inthatD281requiresavigorousrubbingactionwhereasthistestmethodinvolvesonlyagentlestirringandfoldingofthepigment.Becausetheendpointsaredifferent,thevaluesobtainedfromthetwotestmethodsgenerallydiffer.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofoilabsorptionofpigmentsbytheGardner-Colemanprocedure.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
