MIL-DTL-24784/3B, ASSOCIATED DETAIL SPECIFICATION: COMBAT SYSTEM TECHNICAL OPERATIONS MANUAL (CSTOM) REQUIREMENTS (15 FEB 2002) [S/S BY MIL-DTL-24784/22]., This specification sets forth the Naval Sea Systems Command requirements for the content, general style, and format of Combat System Technical Operations Manuals (CSTOM) (see 6.2) required for maintaining own-ship combat system (see 6.3.3) readiness. CSTOM provides operational forces and school commands with combat system level information concerning design, detailed inter-subsystem interface data, testing, maintenance, and capabilities in fleet user-oriented language and format. The CSTOM documents functional integration of all combat subsystems (see 6.3.2) in performance of the major combat system operational functions of detection and entry, tracking and identification, threat evaluation and threat-to-weapon pairing, and engagement and engagement assessment.
